Half Cut

Half Cut

From distant walks of life we drink,
Though not with much eclat, or reason to think,
True patriots all, for it be understood,
We consume our mind for our mind's good:
No private views disgraced our generous zeal,
What urged our consumption was our mind's weal:
And none will doubt that our mental denigration
Had prov'd most useful to its celebration.
